Almost Halloween & Blogoversary Giveaway!
*******Will do the drawing for giveaway winner on November 1st. I forgot that part. LOL *********
Oh Mylanta! It's almost Halloween and I haven't posted since the end of July. This new change on blogger is giving my computer and me fits. Well, the weather here in AZ is finally starting to cool down, YAY! We are in the upper 80's but the mornings and evenings are beautiful!
I have done quite a bit of stitching since my last post and not sure if I have all my pics on the computer so hopefully in the next couple days I can get it updated. LOL Just don't hold me to that. ;-)
******Well let's have a giveaway for my 5th Blogoversary! Today is my blogoversary and I almost missed it! I don't know what the prize will be yet, probably something made by me (will work on it this weekend). So all you need to do is post a comment on here, please leave an email so if you are the winner I can notify you, easy peasy!***********
Well, Diane and I did our Halloween exchange in Sept when we went to St Charles for the Celebrations of Needlework retreat/shopping/fun times. We had a blast the two of us. Always an adventure driving around a town neither of us knows, you just never know where we end up. Sonic was only 3 miles from the hotel and was in the GPS and we end up 20 miles at another Sonic thanks to GPS. LOL We just laugh and go along for the ride. Here is the exchange that I stitched up for Diane (shamelessly stole Diane's pics).
And here is the exchange Diane gave to me. We did a stitched piece and we are both doing our own finishing on this one. I stitched Holey Sheet by Poppy Creations over 1. the sign is in glow in the dark braid. What a fun stitch!
Not many pictures were taken in St Charles as we did ALOT of shopping and stitching. LOL I also did receive my exchange from Jen for the Friends Stitching Through The Seasons exchange I run. She stitched Wicked freebie over 1 and made the cutest scissor fob for me along with lots of goodies.
Also for Halloween I started and finished/finished up Halloweenies by Plum Street Pudding. This was a fun quick stitch and made it into a cube finish.
Speaking of Plum Street Samplers, Paulette contacted me in late spring and asked if I could stitch up a model for her. So of course I said yes. It was just released in September called Vexation Sampler. When we were in St Charles for Celebrations we got to see the model all framed up and prettified. So, of course the dork I am took a picture with it. LOL It's the little things in life. Thanks again to Paulette for asking to me help her out, and I can honestly say I still don't know my multiplication tables. LOL
I will leave you all here for now and will get more pics uploaded to the computer hopefully this weekend. There are more Halloween finishes coming. :)

Wipocalypse July 2012
Well here we are the last day of the month, again. LOL I have a couple little things to share. First here is Frank n Boo Photobooth by Bent Creek. I pulled him out of my wip basket to get moving on, it shouldn't take me long if i just sit down and stitch him, right? LOL and being in the Halloween mood, I also started working on Halloweenies by Plum Street Samplers.

Also, I started and finished Land that i love by BOAF this month, it was a fun quick stitch. I also couldn't wait to stitch up the cute design Jester Jack that was in the JCS Halloween book that just came out the beginning of the month. So i stitched him twice. LOL And i stitched it on aida that i found buried in my stash. Now I don't stitch on aida at all, but this halloween color was perfect for it and so so soft to work on, i have enough to stitch a couple more and probably will. I am thinking of giving a couple of them eyelashes to make them girls too so I can have couples. :)

So Christmas ornaments decided to call my name while watching the Olympics and I am almost finished with Merrily on High by LHN. I did pick a "new" design to work on during the Olympics and that was The Weathervane by LHN. I am stitching this on 40ct Sand Dune using the CC in the chartpacks. So far loving it, but haven't gotten very far due to the ornament calling my name.

Wipocalypse June 2012
My dear friend Diane and I have been doing personal exchanges through the holidays and July 4th is no exception. I received my exchange the other day from her and absolutely love it. I had never seen this design and the pillow Diane made with it is perfect. She also added some goodies like fabric scissors but the kicker was a "stitched finish" of one of MY wip's that she "stole" from my craftroom while visiting in March. Lol I was actually planning that day to look for it to bring to the cabin to finish it and her package arrived. That was such a great surprise and love it!!!!! Thank goodness it arrived when it did I would have tore up my craftroom looking for it. Lol

Also here is a picture of the pillow I stitched for her. I now have to stitch it for myself I love it.

I also managed to get Edgar's summer exchange finished up and out to him. I stitched birds and berries by LHN and made a recipe box with it. I included a few recipes and intend to send more throughout the year to him.

And I also recd my exchange from Jen the other day and here it is. Very cute patriotic pillow by shepherds Bush. I love how she finished the pillow. Thanks Jen!

These finishes of mine are all I have for wips this month as I have been working on a large model but will be finished tomorrow with it and will get back in the swing of things.

WIPocalypse Update 5/31/12
Another just a quick update. Hopefully soon i will find a little more time to keep posting a little more often.
I started Glory House by Chessie and Me on Monday, Memorial Day and here is where I am as of right now.

I also have pulled out Emma Mills by The Scarlett House and worked on her just a little bit.

One more, this was a new start/finish for me. When I visited my sister in SC early April we went to a couple LNS's and she saw this knocker pattern Welcome by Bent Creek (i don't think thats the name but the pattern is in the other room) and asked me to stitch it for her. LOL so i picked it up there and stitched it up last week for her.

I have been working on a large model so not that much going on with my WIPs, but a little progress.
