August is halfway over

I have been stitching everyone, just frustrated with blogspot and iPad. Lol I am trying out using blog press and hopefully this will be easier to post. Most of my many many stitching finishes have been posted o my Facebook since it is easier.

Here is a recent finish by Plum Street Sampler, Ghoul Tidings. I love this one and need to get it framed soon.

I will post again soon if this one works for me. :-)

Been awhile busy with wedding

Hi all! I have been busy stitching the last couple months on a couple models that I cannot share yet. But they are really cute and I know quite a few of you out there that like Halloween will love them! I have finished a quite a few small things for myself as well but will share a couple pics from my daughters wedding. My oldest Brianna got married March 23rd at one of our friends house. It was beautiful and couldn't have turned out any better. She asked Doug to give her away (he is step dad) and he was very touched. And this is the first time any of us have seen him in a tux even me. Lol my niece was the flower girl and nephew was part of e wedding party as well and Shane (Brianna and Justin's little man - our grandbaby) was the ring bearer. Here are a few pics of the day. They couldn't get Shane to take his finger out of his nose and he thought it was funny that's why the one picture and is one of my favorites of them. So like them.

Almost Halloween & Blogoversary Giveaway!

*******Will do the drawing for giveaway winner on November 1st. I forgot that part. LOL *********

Oh Mylanta! It's almost Halloween and I haven't posted since the end of July. This new change on blogger is giving my computer and me fits. Well, the weather here in AZ is finally starting to cool down, YAY! We are in the upper 80's but the mornings and evenings are beautiful!

I have done quite a bit of stitching since my last post and not sure if I have all my pics on the computer so hopefully in the next couple days I can get it updated. LOL Just don't hold me to that. ;-)

******Well let's have a giveaway for my 5th Blogoversary! Today is my blogoversary and I almost missed it! I don't know what the prize will be yet, probably something made by me (will work on it this weekend). So all you need to do is post a comment on here, please leave an email so if you are the winner I can notify you, easy peasy!***********

Well, Diane and I did our Halloween exchange in Sept when we went to St Charles for the Celebrations of Needlework retreat/shopping/fun times. We had a blast the two of us. Always an adventure driving around a town neither of us knows, you just never know where we end up. Sonic was only 3 miles from the hotel and was in the GPS and we end up 20 miles at another Sonic thanks to GPS. LOL We just laugh and go along for the ride.  Here is the exchange that I stitched up for Diane (shamelessly stole Diane's pics).

And here is the exchange Diane gave to me. We did a stitched piece and we are both doing our own finishing on this one. I stitched Holey Sheet by Poppy Creations over 1. the sign is in glow in the dark braid. What a fun stitch!
Not many pictures were taken in St Charles as we did ALOT of shopping and stitching. LOL I also did receive my exchange from Jen for the Friends Stitching Through The Seasons exchange I run. She stitched Wicked freebie over 1 and made the cutest scissor fob for me along with lots of goodies.

Also for Halloween I started and finished/finished up Halloweenies by Plum Street Pudding. This was a fun quick stitch and made it into a cube finish.
Speaking of Plum Street Samplers, Paulette contacted me in late spring and asked if I could stitch up a model for her. So of course I said yes. It was just released in September called Vexation Sampler. When we were in St Charles for Celebrations we got to see the model all framed up and prettified. So, of course the dork I am took a picture with it. LOL It's the little things in life. Thanks again to Paulette for asking to me help her out, and I can honestly say I still don't know my multiplication tables. LOL
I will leave you all here for now and will get more pics uploaded to the computer hopefully this weekend. There are more Halloween finishes coming. :)

Wipocalypse July 2012

Well here we are the last day of the month, again. LOL I have a couple little things to share. First here is Frank n Boo Photobooth by Bent Creek. I pulled him out of my wip basket to get moving on, it shouldn't take me long if i just sit down and stitch him, right? LOL and being in the Halloween mood, I also started working on Halloweenies by Plum Street Samplers.

Also, I started and finished Land that i love by BOAF this month, it was a fun quick stitch. I also couldn't wait to stitch up the cute design Jester Jack that was in the JCS Halloween book that just came out the beginning of the month. So i stitched him twice. LOL And i stitched it on aida that i found buried in my stash. Now I don't stitch on aida at all, but this halloween color was perfect for it and so so soft to work on, i have enough to stitch a couple more and probably will. I am thinking of giving a couple of them eyelashes to make them girls too so I can have couples. :)

So Christmas ornaments decided to call my name while watching the Olympics and I am almost finished with Merrily on High by LHN. I did pick a "new" design to work on during the Olympics and that was The Weathervane by LHN. I am stitching this on 40ct Sand Dune using the CC in the chartpacks. So far loving it, but haven't gotten very far due to the ornament calling my name.

Wipocalypse June 2012

My dear friend Diane and I have been doing personal exchanges through the holidays and July 4th is no exception. I received my exchange the other day from her and absolutely love it. I had never seen this design and the pillow Diane made with it is perfect. She also added some goodies like fabric scissors but the kicker was a "stitched finish" of one of MY wip's that she "stole" from my craftroom while visiting in March. Lol I was actually planning that day to look for it to bring to the cabin to finish it and her package arrived. That was such a great surprise and love it!!!!! Thank goodness it arrived when it did I would have tore up my craftroom looking for it. Lol

Also here is a picture of the pillow I stitched for her. I now have to stitch it for myself I love it.

I also managed to get Edgar's summer exchange finished up and out to him. I stitched birds and berries by LHN and made a recipe box with it. I included a few recipes and intend to send more throughout the year to him.

And I also recd my exchange from Jen the other day and here it is. Very cute patriotic pillow by shepherds Bush. I love how she finished the pillow. Thanks Jen!

These finishes of mine are all I have for wips this month as I have been working on a large model but will be finished tomorrow with it and will get back in the swing of things.

WIPocalypse Update 5/31/12

Another just a quick update. Hopefully soon i will find a little more time to keep posting a little more often.
I started Glory House by Chessie and Me on Monday, Memorial Day and here is where I am as of right now.

I also have pulled out Emma Mills by The Scarlett House and worked on her just a little bit.

One more, this was a new start/finish for me. When I visited my sister in SC early April we went to a couple LNS's and she saw this knocker pattern Welcome by Bent Creek (i don't think thats the name but the pattern is in the other room) and asked me to stitch it for her. LOL so i picked it up there and stitched it up last week for her.

I have been working on a large model so not that much going on with my WIPs, but a little progress.

WIPocalypse Update 4/6/12

A little late update for April, but it is here by the last minute! LOL I have been working on an exchange piece so not alot of progress pics, but here is what I have.

Here is a little progress on LHN's Jessie Bell - Arizona Territory from last month.

And here isLove Liberty by Chessies & Me. This is where it was left off from last summer and I actually managed to finish it this month. WOO HOO!!!! I love how it turned out now to decide on the finishing.

I am currently working on a model that is rather large so will have very little progress on wip's but plan on having something for May. :) I have just finished stitching an exchange that isn't due out until June but wanted to be ahead of the game, just one more exchange to get stitched and then they just need to be finished before June. :)

WIPocalypse Update for 3/9/12

So i am very late getting my update in this month but i have just a couple little things to show but do have them before month end. Next month will be much better. LOL Been very busy finishing for customers.

I have a tiny bit of progress on my Quaker Diamonds piece by Rosewood Manor. I am stitching this one on 40ct over 2 using Valdani 6 strand floss. After seeing Yvonne's piece in person all last week as she stitched on hers, I really want this one done this year.

I did start Arizona Territory by LHN in February and here is the progress so far. I am loving the colors in this piece. I am stitching it on 30ct WDW Cappucino fabric with the called for Crescent Colours cottons.

I did have one very small finish, as there wasn't much left to stitch on it, but I DID finish it. LOL Peep by LK from last year. The fabric is a very pretty light green from Dyeing4U fabrics (no longer in business that I know of). It won't get finished into anything before Easter as I am going out of town for a week tomorrow to see my sister and her family. Missing my niece and nephew.

And this is the Easter exchange I rec'd from Diane. We are doing a few personal exchanges a year and she blew this one out of the water.

And there was a little bit of progress on This is My Joy by LHN, stitching it 1 over 1 on 40 ct with Weathered Vine Belle Soie.

You just gotta love Iphones and Blogger. grrr at least the biggest piece turned out straight. LOL

WIPocalypse Update 1/9/12

Just a quick post to share my little progress on my wip's.

First up is Beneath the Sunlit Sky - I am loving this one and am going to go sit down and pick it back up for a little while before heading to bed.

And I also started on January cottage by country cottage as my winter stitch instead of Percy the Penguin.

I have quite a bit of finishing to do for others so need to get that going as well, so stitching will be a little bit on the back burner for a couple days.

WIP's I am working on

Well I did get a couple pics of the few WIP's I pulled out of my basket from my first 15 to work on.
Here is Beneath The Sunlit Sky by BBD

Next up is Easter Treat by Trilogy

Next is Cottage Charm by Milady's Needle

And the last one I pulled out of the basket was The Maderia Tin class I took from Fancy Work a few years ago. I just need to finish stitching the pinkeep and assemble it. ugh why haven't i finished this one already???? LOL

I am currently stitching on Beneath The Sunlit Sky and really moving along (for me) and really hope to have it finished in a week (maybe). LOL But that is my goal. i really want to widdle down my WIP's, it is embarrassing how many i have. OY!

Another year has gone by

Where has the time gone? It really does fly by faster the older we get doesn't it? LOL I have been busy stitching Christmas Ornaments for family and exchanges, will post pics once i get them uploaded here. sigh....

I have joined Measi's WIPocalypse 2012 and have listed my first 15 WIP's that i want to get finished. Once I finish one, I will replace it with another WIP. I have way more than I ever imagined I would and will not post that number on here as it is WAYYY out of control. another big sigh............ BUT I am determined to finish alot of them and not let myself by any stash, except for fabric or threads if needed for a project until i have a few finished, etc. I have punished myself with not buying stash. LOL There is just one new start in the list and that one is Percy by Heart in Hand that i have just recently purchased (before Christmas) and want to get finished and up on my mantle with all my snowmen for the winter. Backwater Buck, affectionately known as, That Damn Deer, WILL be finished before March! It is for my hubby and it has been a UFO for close to 15 years. AHHHHHHHHH hence the name, that damn deer. LOL Our anniversary is March 2nd and I really want it done and then i can just rest easily, especially since he asks about it ALL the time.

I will post pics sometime this weekend of all 15 WIPS, so we can see progress etc. I have also purchased a large project for 2012 but won't allow myself to start it until i have at least 3 projects finished. It is Judy O'Dell's Mary Wigham 1790 Wardrobe and is absolutely stunning. Just click on that link Judy O'dells above and you can see detailed pics of it. It is a huge taking on, but i am in love with it, not the color as I am changing that to a red or blue.

Well, I need to get stitching, and hopefully back tomorrow with pics of my wips. Happy New Year to you all and have a safe and healthy one!!!

It's September already?

And it is still hot here in AZ. ugh! I cannot wait for the day to open the doors and windows and no AC. I haven't been getting much stitching done lately, don't know if it's the heat or the combination of the heat and the grandbaby. He does take up alot of time but so worth it. Shane is 6 months old now and starting to crawl, lord help us now and just started sitting himself up by himself in the last couple days. He is such a chunker.

And here is Shane with Madison, Melissa's daughter and our grandbaby. Melissa is a third daughter to us, as best friend to our daughter and has lived with us on and off. look at all that hair on little Madi.

I was asked by Sharon Crescent of Crescent Colours/Miss Crescents Crowne to stitch and finsih and couple ornaments for her this year. What fun is that?! Here is Jolly that she stitched and I finished for the JCS Ornament issue. I corded some fun fur in lime green and couched it on around the edges, fun!

And here is the one I stitched and finished for Sharon for the JCS Preview issue. very fun. Used a red satin ribbon and ruched it around the edges and twisted a bendable wire for the hanger with a couple red jingle bells.

I do have a couple little finished i managed to stitch up and finish last night for myself. I have to take pics of some of my other larger wip's i have been working on, but really need to get moving on my exchange pieces for the PALS retreat in Oct in Myrtle Beach.
Here is Jolly by Miss Crescent's Crowne from the JCS ornie issue that I stitched up for myself.

Here is Happy Halloween by Fresh Threads Studio that i stitched up for myself as well. It is stitched on 30ct WDW Pumpkin and i made the hanger out of bendable wire and just threaded the buttons through it.

And here is Life's A Beach by Lizzie Kate that i finished up during the summer.

I just wanted to stop by real quick and let you all know I am alive just been really busy with this little guy.
